Yesterday my brother Ed and sister-in-law Laura agreed to go with us to visit the Lake County Fare. Having someone to push Mom in the wheel chair on big adventures makes big trips possible with the whole family. We all had fun and ate lots of the sort of food you only find on the midway of a fair.
My brother Ed, chauffeuring Grandma at the Fair. Grandma's wheel chair got us rock-star parking.

John and Laura check out our tickets.
JJ can't wait.

Our first stop was to visit Meg and Eddie who were volunteering in the commercial building. Meg is doing face painting.

The Queen Mother and Princess Anna enjoy delicious lemonade in the
floriculture building as Royal Guard Uncle Ed fans them to increase their comfort.

The current fair grounds are likely to be developed in the next few years, so we really wanted Mom to visit the fair this year. More pictures will follow...

The best lemonades in the world can be found in county fairs in the midwest. I just love 'em! Funnel cakes and corn dogs are exclusive fair food but not as supremely fab as the squeezed while you wait lemonade!
It looks like fun. I always head to the 4H barn. I love that and the poultry exhibits.
I have to agree Peggy, the lemonade was the best thing we ate or drank at the fair.
We enjoyed the poultry, but my heart belongs to the rabbits. I was sad this year that there were no dutch blue rabbits like Joe's pet bunny Pagoo. I guess they are out of fashion.
Great pictures! Thanks for taking Mom. Now that you are posting more, I need to check in daily.
